Stuart is a successful global business leader and board member with experience in both large cap organizations and smaller public and private companies.

Currently, Stuart is President and Chief Executive Officer of THINK Surgical which is a privately held company in the orthopedic robotics market. THINK Surgical has been transformed under Stuart’s leadership over the past 2 years attracting new financing, new talent and new commercial partners.

THINK Surgical is pursuing a differentiated strategy with their implant agnostic business model and easier to use orthopedic robotic technology. The company recently transitioned from R&D into commercial execution following FDA clearance for their innovative new miniature, hand- held robotic system in 2023.

Stuart previously served as Executive Chairman at Breg Inc., a private equity owned sports-medicine company competing and as Executive Chairman at Surgalign Inc., a public spine company.

Prior to this Stuart spent 24 years at Stryker corp. where he held roles of increasing responsibility in Europe, Asia Pacific, and USA. In his final role at Stryker, Stuart was President of Joint Replacement and was responsible for Stryker’s acquisition of Mako Surgical Corp. for $1.65BN in 2013. Stryker Joint Replacement enjoyed market leading growth for many years under Stuart’s leadership.

Stuart graduated from The University of Strathclyde in Scotland where he earned a B.Sc. degree in Technology and Business Studies.
