Neil Badlani, MD, MBA

Neil Badlani, M.D., M.B.A. is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. He has been a managing partner of the Orthopedic Sports Clinic in Houston Texas for over 10 years. He has been the Chief Medical Officer for Prestige Health and SwyftScripts since 2021. From 2014-2019 he served as the Chief Medical Officer for Nobilis Health (NYSE: HLTH) and North American Spine and was also a member of the Board of Directors. 

Based in Houston, clinically he practices cutting-edge techniques in treating spine, back and neck pain, as well as complicated spinal disorders in patients of all ages. 

Dr. Badlani is also an award-winning researcher having been recognized nationally by the American Academy of Sports Medicine and Western Orthopedic Association and internationally by the Combined Orthopedic Research Societies of the USA, Canada, Japan and Europe for his work. He has presented his research both on orthopedic surgery and economic aspects of medicine at national meetings including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. In recent years, he has given several national presentations on the Economics of Outpatient Surgery and Surgery Center Ownership Models. 

He has written several papers and given presentations about orthopedic hospitals, surgery centers and medical reimbursement issues. Dr. Badlani is the educational director for a national course for spine fellows called the Spine Interactive Educational Program and is a reviewer for “Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons" and "The International Journal of Spine Surgery."
